Refugee wave that sweeps across the Balkan finds Nada (45) estranged from her ex-best friend and neighbor Mira (45) over the guilt of Nada’s fiancée’s death during the Croatian war twenty five years ago. In a seemingly peaceful but ethnically divided village, a stray migrant Aylan (20) running away from the police finds shelter in Nada’s house and starts uncovering unhealed village wounds. Through the relationship with the young man, Nada starts examining both the events of the past that lead to breakup with Mira, as well as her own values.
